Ocean Predators have been crowned the 2026 KZN Netball Super League Males A champions after producing a powerful finish while Umdoni Diamonds finished unbeaten campaign to claim the Section C at Hoy Park over the weekend.
The Predators entered the final stretch knowing exactly what was required. With the summit within reach, they needed to win their remaining games against Mtuba Central and Ziphozonke and they delivered when it mattered the most. Their championship charge began with a convincing win 53-40 victory over Mtuba Central, putting the Predators firmly back in the tittle conversation.
In the crucial Round 3 encounter, Ocean Predators faced Ziphozonke in a winner-takes the moment battle. The Predators showed their class, composure and attacking firepower, running out 49-28 winners to complete the climb to the top.
While the Males A tittle was being decided, Umdoni Diamonds were writing their own championship story in Section C. The Diamonds were simple unstoppable, finishing the competition unbeaten to secure the Section C championship ahead of strong opponents like The Ones, Sheppy Central and more. Their campaign was built on consistency and determination continuing to find ways to get results when it mattered. They sealed their impressive run with another strong performance, defeating Mtuba Queens 44-29 and putting the finishing touch on an unbeaten championship campaign.
