KwaZulu-Natal Netball Super League brought fire and excitement to Richards Bay this past weekend as Males and Section C teams battled it out at Vled en Vlei on Saturday,16 May 2026.
In Male division ,Ocean Predators stamped authority with ruthless 77-20 victory over Ulundi Movers, while Ocean Dolphins and Cheetahs delivered one of the most entertaining matches of the weekend after settling for a dramatic 32-32 draw. Mtuba Central showed serious determination with back to back victories, first edging Umlazi Panthers 46-42 before overpowering UKZN 63-43. Ziphozonke also held their nerves in a tight contest against UniZulu securing 35-32 win. Cheetahs roared loudly in Round 3, crushing King Shaka 65-45, while Hammarsdale Sunbeams proved too strong for Firecrackers with a commanding 64-41 victory later in the day. Ocean Dolphins the closed off the weekend in a spectacular fashion after dismantling UKZN 93-23 in one of the biggest wins of the tournament so far.
Section C also produced exciting actions as Mtuba Queens opened with a narrow 42-38 win over Sheppy Central before suffering a heady defeat against the clinical The Ones side, who continued with their impressive run with a 63-42 victory. Rise and Shine lived up to their name with a close triumph over eSayidi TVET, while Umdoni Diamonds sparkled with a win over eSayidi TVET and Chess to cap off their successful weekend campaign.
