Durban, South Africa – What a thrilling day of netball action at the Durban ICC as fans gathered in large numbers to witness the 2025 Telkom Netball League (TNL) Division 2 Final and bronze medal match.
The Kingdom Stars lit up the arena with an outstanding performance, successfully defending their Division 2 title with a 43–33 win over the Tornados. Their 10-goal lead was a result of sheer teamwork, composure, and relentless determination to bring the trophy home once again—right in front of their passionate home supporters.
Key players Nozipho Ntshangase and Thulisile Maduna were instrumental in the victory, consistently turning over the ball and keeping the Tornados under pressure. The Tornados, despite their efforts, struggled to find rhythm, racking up penalties and missing vital opportunities to close the gap.
Following the final whistle, an elated Coach Nompumelelo Mthembu shared her thoughts:
“I’m so proud of the team. Our mission was to keep the title, and we did it! The support from the fans gave us the energy we needed to push through.”
